| Description | The Kawachi late growing citrus is the kind which pulls the blood of the pomelo discovered in Kawachi-cho, Kumamoto-shi, Kumamoto prefecture and which was produced by chance. As the appearance resembles the grapefruit, it may be called "Japanese-made grapefruit", but it does not have sour taste and can be called Japanese-oriented citrus fruit.The quantity of the production is less than 1% of the whole Japanese citrus fruits and therefore it is a very rare kind. At Ainan Mothers the original fertilizer which makes microorganisms be activated was made, and more elegant sweetness and sour taste were achieved by the original cultivation method reexamined from the soil making.
